A 4x4 jeep safari over dirt tracks and ridgelines no bus can reach: at sunrise among the hot air balloons, or at sunset above Love, Red and Rose Valleys.
from €100 per jeep · Next available November 1
Many of Cappadocia's best viewpoints sit at the end of rutted tracks: the ridge above Love Valley, the rim of Kızılçukur (the Red Valley) and the high ground between Uçhisar and Ortahisar. A coach can't get there and walking takes hours, but a 4x4 makes the climb in minutes.
At sunrise the jeeps head for the slopes where the balloons take off, so you can watch them inflate and rise all around you. At sunset the route works backwards from the light, ending on a ridge as the valleys turn red and gold. Either way you sit back, hold on over the bumps and let a driver who knows every track do the rest.

Cappadocia's ridge-top viewpointsYour driver collects you from your hotel — before dawn for the sunrise run, about two hours before sunset for the evening run.
Climb the dirt tracks above Love Valley for the first wide view over its tall rock pillars.
On the sunrise run, stop near the take-off fields to watch the balloons inflate and rise around you (on days they fly).
Drive the rim of the Red and Rose Valleys, where the rock shifts from cream to pink and red.
Finish on a high ridge for photos with the jeep: balloons over the valley at sunrise, or the sun going down at dusk.
Dropped back at your hotel.
The tracks are bumpy and dusty. Not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back or neck problems.

No. An experienced local driver handles every track; you sit back and enjoy the views.
The sunrise run is planned around the hot air balloons and gets you back in time for breakfast; the sunset run follows the evening light over the Red and Rose Valleys. Balloons are part of the sunrise run only, and only on days they fly.
Jeeps typically seat up to six guests. If you'd like a jeep just for your group, mention it when you book.
Yes, as long as you're comfortable with a bumpy ride. Let us know in advance if you need a child seat. It isn't recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back or neck problems.
The safari runs as planned. Balloon flights depend on the wind and are approved each morning, so they can never be guaranteed, but the valleys at dawn are worth the early start on their own.
Two hours off-road to Cappadocia's best viewpoints, with the balloons at sunrise or the valleys at sunset.
Plan your tour for a different day from your sunrise balloon flight, or for the afternoon of your flight day, so you’re never rushed. Add a flight →
