A Turkish night in a Cappadocia cave restaurant: a traditional dinner, local drinks and a live show of folk dances from across Türkiye, a whirling dervish performance and belly dancing.
from €65 · Next available October 29
Cappadocia's cave restaurants were dug into the soft tuff the same way the region's houses and churches were, and the big ones make a natural theatre: a round hall, long tables around a central stage, and acoustics that turn a single drum into a wall of sound.
The evening runs like a journey around Türkiye. Dinner arrives in courses (cold meze, a warm starter, a main course and dessert) while the dancers work through the regions: the fast, shoulder-shaking horon of the Black Sea, the proud steps of the Caucasus, the Aegean zeybek. Belly dancer takes the stage and the music picks up again. By the end of the night, much of the room is up and dancing.
