걷는 속도로 만나는 실크로드
관광버스가 생기기 훨씬 전, 카파도키아를 가로지르던 것은 낙타 대상 행렬이었습니다. 실크로드가 이 고원을 지났고, 셀주크인들은 길을 따라 대략 하루 거리마다 돌로 지은 카라반사라이(대상 숙소)를 세웠습니다. 아바노스 근처의 사루한 대상 숙소와 악사라이로 가는 길의 아즈카라한은 지금도 남아 있습니다.
낙타 타기는 그 옛 리듬을 되살립니다. 낙타가 무릎을 꿇으면 푹신한 안장에 오릅니다. 행렬이 일어서서 천천히 걷는 속도로 계곡 사이를 나아갑니다. 일출에는 하늘이 열기구로 가득 차고, 일몰에는 응회암 절벽이 분홍빛과 황금빛으로 물듭니다. 조련사가 처음부터 끝까지 행렬과 함께하니, 꼭 붙잡고 주위를 둘러보며 사진을 찍기만 하면 됩니다.

Do I need any riding experience?
No. The camels are calm and used to guests, and handlers lead the caravan the whole way. You only need to hold on, especially when the camel stands up and kneels down.
Sunrise or sunset: which should I choose?
Sunrise is the one with the hot air balloons overhead (on days they fly), cooler air and an early start. Sunset has warmer light and a later start. Both use the same valleys.
Can children ride?
Yes. Young children usually share a camel with a parent. Tell us their ages when you book so the team can plan the saddles.
Are there any health limits?
A camel's movements when it stands and kneels are sudden. The ride isn't recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back or spine problems; if you're unsure, ask us before booking.
