• How can I book a _____Balloon flight?
• Bookings can be made …[how can guests book a flight?]… guests may pay by card or with cash. A discount is offered for cash payments.
• How much does the flight cost?
• The Standard Flight costs 320 Euros, the Deluxe Flight costs 380 Euros and the Special Flight costs vary according to guest requests.
• What is the difference between the Standard and Deluxe flights?
• Standard flights last a minimum of 1 hour and include 12-20 passengers, while the Deluxe flight lasts a minimum of 1.5 hours and includes 6-12 passengers.
• What if the flight is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions?
• Balloon flights are dependent on weather conditions, and if there is too much or too little wind, or if the weather is not good for a balloon experience, we may have to postpone the flight until another day. In case of flight cancellation, guests will be issued a full refund.
• What should I wear?
• Wear comfortable clothing. A light jacket and a hat are recommended for chilly mornings particularly in the spring and fall, but it should not be too cold. Flat, comfortable shoes are best.
• What should I bring?
• Sunglasses and hats are useful to have during a flight, and cameras are an absolute must to take photos that will last a lifetime!
• Will it be cold?
• The air temperature is cooler at higher elevations, and our balloons fly up to 1000 meters above the ground. However, most passengers agree that the flight is not too cold. The pilot is constantly using a burner to fuel the balloon, which adds warmth to the passengers below. A light jacket and perhaps a scarf or hat are enough to stay warm in the fall and spring, while wintertime may require thick socks and more layers to be comfortable.
• Why is the balloon ride so early in the morning?
• Weather conditions are best for balloons in the early morning, when the air is cool and the wind is low. Plus, guests get to see the gorgeous sunrise while suspended above the valley. It doesn’t get much better than that!
• How does the hot air balloon fly?
• Hot air is lighter and less dense than cold air, so when hot propane gas is used to heat the air inside the balloon to about 100 degrees Celcius, the lighter air lifts the balloon off the ground. To come down, the hot air is either cooled or released from the balloon via air vents. Balloons go wherever the wind takes them, but pilots can lower or raise the balloons using hot and cool air to catch different wind currents
• How high will the balloon fly?
• We will fly at various altitudes and rise up to 1000 meters above the ground to let passengers enjoy the vast Cappadocian scenery.
• What is the hot air balloon made of?
• The balloon is made of thick nylon while the basket is made with woven wicker.
• Where will we land?
• That’s up to the wind! Pilots and landing crews communicate with radios to ensure the landing platform and balloon line up just right as the balloon lightly touches down.
• I have changed my mind and no longer want to go for a balloon ride. Can I still get a refund?
• On your request of a change, delay or cancelation of your hot air balloon ride booking before 48hrs to flight time, it will be accepted or will fully refunded.
• I slept in and missed my balloon flight. Can I still get a refund?
• No! There won’t be any refund for missing the balloon flight.
• How do I let the balloon company know about my dietary requirements?
• We have a full buffet breakfast with plenty options before the balloon flight.
• What does the insurance cover? What does the insurance not cover? (i.e. loss of personal belongings, broken camera, personal negligence)
• Insurance cover any kind of injuries of the passangers in case of an accident of the balloon ride. It doesn’t cover personal lost or missed items.
• I loved my balloon ride! Can I get another balloon ride at a special rate?
• Unfortunetly! We offer same price for everybody for every single flight.
• How safe is it to fly in a hot air balloon?
• Flying in a Hot air Balloon Ride over Cappadocia is safer then having a car ride or flying in a plane.
• Why should I choose Cappadocia for my balloon flight?
• First of all for magnificent views from above that Cappadocia offers, the gentle wind that you need for a nice ride with the balloon early morning and also not only for the view but seeing hundreds of different color hot air balloons flying at the same time is also very joyfull.
• I am scared of heights. Can I still go for a balloon flight?
• Being in a hot air balloon basket doesn’t not fell like being on a top of a hill or building. Once you are in the balloon basket you will fill much safer as it goes up to your belly and holds you from danger!
