Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-16

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Cappadocia Balloon Flights and any booking you make for hot-air-balloon flights and tours through it. The platform is operated by Cappadocia Experience LLC, a Wyoming Limited Liability Company (State of Wyoming, United States, filing ID 2026-002075110) ("we", "us", "our"). Section 2 explains what we sell and who performs it; Section 3 explains exactly what your card is charged today and what you pay on the day. By using the platform, creating an account, or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

A few terms are used throughout this document:

  • "Platform" — the Cappadocia Balloon Flights website and any related booking pages and accounts.
  • "Operator" — the independent, licensed balloon operator or tour provider that actually performs the flight or tour you book.
  • "You" / "Customer" — the person making a booking, whether through an account or as a guest, including any additional passengers in that booking.
  • "Booking" — a confirmed reservation for a flight or tour, formed once payment (or the required deposit) is processed and we send a written confirmation with a reference number.
  • "Cancellation policy" — the specific refund and notice-period terms shown for your product during booking and repeated in your confirmation e-mail.

2. About us and our role

Cappadocia Experience LLC is a Wyoming Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States (filing ID 2026-002075110), with its registered office at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States and its operational base at Aydınlı-Orta Mah., Kağnı Yolu Sok. No: 1, 50180 Göreme — Nevşehir, Türkiye. We operate the "Cappadocia Balloon Flights" platform. We are the party you contract with, and the merchant that charges your card.

For balloon flights, what we sell you is a booking service: we let you discover and compare flights, we reserve and confirm your place with the Operator, and we support you before and after the flight. The flight itself is performed by an independent Operator licensed by the Turkish civil-aviation authority (SHGM), and the flight price is payable to that Operator. The Operator is responsible for operating the flight, for safety on the day, and for carrying the passenger insurance required by regulation. Operator-specific conditions (boarding rules, weight limits, health requirements) may apply in addition to these Terms.

For tours, what we sell you is the tour itself, and we are responsible to you for its performance. Where a tour is carried out on our behalf by an independent local organiser, that is stated on the tour page.

We are not a Turkish travel agency and we do not hold a TÜRSAB licence. Where a TÜRSAB-licensed agency takes part in delivering a service, it is TURTLE TUR TURİZM SEY. TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (agency brand "Turtle Tours", TÜRSAB licence no. 4551), a separate company under common ownership, and this is disclosed on the relevant product page.

3. What you pay today, and to whom

This section explains exactly what your card is charged and what, if anything, you still owe on the day. Please read it: it is the part guests most often misunderstand.

The points below describe online payment at checkout. At times the platform takes reservation requests instead of online payment, and the booking page says so when it does. Sending a request is free and is not a booking or a contract: nothing is charged, and no place is held until our team confirms availability in writing. If you then go ahead, we tell you in writing, before you pay anything, the amount due, how and to whom it is paid, and the cancellation policy that applies.

  • Balloon flights — charged today: our booking fee only. It is shown as the deposit, and it is our own fee for arranging, confirming and holding your reservation. It is not a part-payment of the flight price collected on the Operator's behalf.
  • Balloon flights — payable on the day: the flight price itself, paid by you directly to the Operator at the meeting point on the morning of the flight. The exact remaining amount is shown before you pay and repeated in your confirmation e-mail.
  • Tours — charged today: the full tour price, unless the tour page states that only a deposit is due at booking.
  • Who charges your card: Cappadocia Experience LLC (State of Wyoming, United States). The charge appears on your card or bank statement under our name or a shortened form of it.
  • We never hold or forward money on an Operator's behalf. Any amount due to an Operator is paid by you, to that Operator, directly.
  • Currency: you may browse prices in a display currency of your choice. The amount actually charged, and the currency it is charged in, are shown at checkout before you confirm. Your bank may add its own conversion or foreign-transaction fee, which is outside our control.
  • If you do not recognise a charge from us, please write to fly@cappadociaballoonflights.com before contacting your bank — we can normally identify and resolve it faster than a card dispute.

4. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Minors may take part only within a booking made by a responsible adult and subject to the Operator's age and safety rules.
  • You may book with a customer account (including optional Google Sign-In) or as a guest. Guest bookings are still fully governed by these Terms.
  • If you create an account, keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information. Incorrect details (especially passenger names, nationality, weight where requested, or contact number) can prevent us or the Operator from delivering your booking safely.

5. How a booking works

When you complete a booking, two relationships are formed: your agreement with us as your booking agency, and the performance of the activity by the Operator. We confirm the booking, collect payment, send your confirmation and provide customer support; the Operator runs the flight or tour.

  • A booking is only a request until payment (or the required deposit) is processed and we send a written confirmation with a reference number.
  • Please check your confirmation immediately and tell us at once if anything is wrong, so corrections can reach the Operator in time.
  • The Operator's own safety and participation rules apply alongside these Terms. Where there is a genuine conflict on a safety matter, the Operator's safety rules take precedence on the day.

6. Prices, currency, taxes and discounts

  • Prices are shown at checkout and include taxes and the inclusions listed on the product page.
  • You may view prices in a display currency of your choice; the amount actually charged, and its currency, are shown at checkout before you confirm. Your bank's exchange rate and any card fees are outside our control.
  • Balloon flights are booked by paying our booking fee (shown as the deposit); the flight price itself is paid to the Operator on the day. Tours are paid in full at checkout unless the tour page says otherwise. Section 3 sets this out in full.
  • Discount or promo codes may be available and are subject to their own stated conditions (such as validity dates, eligible products and combinability).
  • We try to keep all prices accurate. In the rare case of an obvious pricing error, a booking based on that error is not binding and we will contact you to correct it or offer a full refund.

7. Payment and Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment service provider. We never see or store your full card number.

Cappadocia Experience LLC is the merchant of record for every charge made on this platform. We charge our own booking fee and, for tours, the tour price; we do not collect money on behalf of any Operator.

Where only the booking fee is charged online, the balance is settled with the Operator on the day, as described in Section 3. If a required payment is not completed, the booking may be automatically cancelled and the held availability released.

While the platform takes reservation requests instead of online payment, nothing is charged online when you send a request; how a confirmed request is paid is set out to you in writing beforehand, as described in Section 3.

8. Weather and operational cancellation

Hot-air-balloon flights depend on weather and on authorisation from the civil-aviation authorities (SHGM/DHMİ). For your safety, the Operator or the authorities may cancel or postpone a flight at short notice — including on the morning of the flight. This is a normal part of ballooning and is treated as a force-majeure or safety event (see Section 16).

  • If we or the Operator cancel a flight for weather or safety, you receive a full refund of the amount you paid for that flight. We do not rebook cancelled flights: prices and availability differ from date to date, so a new flight is a new booking made at the price available at that time. You are free to book again whenever it suits you, and we will help you find a slot, but we cannot hold or guarantee one.
  • Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via our payment service provider, without deduction for the cancellation.
  • We are not responsible for incidental costs you arrange separately (hotels, transfers, connecting flights). Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9. Your cancellation, changes and no-show

If you cancel or ask to change a booking, the outcome follows the cancellation policy shown during booking and repeated in your confirmation e-mail. The applicable notice periods and amounts are always displayed before you pay. The free-cancellation window shown on flight and operator pages (for example, "free cancellation up to 48 hours before") is taken from that same policy. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via our payment service provider.

  • Rescheduling may be possible subject to availability and the Operator's rules; any difference in price may apply.
  • You must be at the agreed pickup point or hotel at the stated time. A missed pickup caused by incorrect or unreachable contact details, or by not being ready on time, is treated as a no-show and may not be refundable.

10. Passenger obligations, health and safety

  • All passengers must follow the pilot's and crew's safety instructions at all times.
  • Accurate passenger details (name, nationality, and weight where requested) and a reachable phone and e-mail are required for civil-aviation safety manifests; please provide them honestly.
  • Flights may be unsuitable during pregnancy or for some mobility, height/weight or health conditions. If in doubt, contact us or the Operator before booking.
  • The Operator may refuse boarding, without refund, to anyone who appears unwell or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose participation would be unsafe.
  • Flight duration, route and landing site vary with wind and conditions; stated durations are typical, not guaranteed.

11. Reviews and user content

If you have a genuine booking, you may submit a review. You keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display your review on the platform in connection with the relevant product.

You confirm that your content is your own, accurate and lawful, and does not infringe anyone's rights.

  • Reviews should reflect a real experience and must not be unlawful, defamatory, offensive, off-topic, spam or promotional.
  • We do not pre-screen every review, but we may moderate or remove content that breaches these standards or applicable law.

12. Intellectual property and acceptable use

  • The platform, its content, brand and design are protected and remain our property or that of our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-commercial licence to use the platform to make bookings.
  • You may not scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-access listings, availability or pricing, nor resell or republish them without our written permission.
  • You may not misuse the platform, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

13. Third-party links

The platform may link to third-party websites or services (for example an Operator's own page). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Following such links is at your own risk.

14. Insurance and liability

Licensed Operators carry the passenger insurance required by regulation. We nonetheless recommend that you also hold suitable travel insurance covering your trip, cancellations and personal circumstances.

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid to us for that booking.
  • We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure, including adverse weather and civil-aviation authority decisions), nor for costs you arrange separately (hotels, transfers, connecting flights).
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence; your non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

15. Withdrawal right (cayma hakkı) and date-bound services

Balloon flights and tours are leisure and tourism services performed on a specific date or within a specific period. The EU Consumer Rights Directive (Art. 16(l)), the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (reg. 28(1)(h)) and, for consumers resident in Türkiye, the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation (md. 15/1-g) all except date-bound leisure services from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. That statutory cooling-off period therefore does not apply to a dated flight or tour.

What applies instead is the cancellation policy shown before you pay and repeated in your confirmation e-mail. Please read it carefully, because its deadlines are counted back from the flight date, not from the date you booked: if you book close to the flight, your booking may fall outside the free-cancellation window from the outset, and no 14-day right exists to fall back on. The exact amount you would get back if you cancelled at that moment is shown to you before payment.

Separately, and regardless of that policy: if we or the Operator cancel your flight for weather or safety, you are refunded in full.

16. Force majeure

We and the Operator are not responsible for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including adverse weather, withheld or withdrawn civil-aviation authorisation, natural events, government action, strikes, war, terrorism, pandemic or similar circumstances. Where such an event prevents a flight, the weather-and-safety cancellation terms above (full refund) apply so that you are not left out of pocket for the flight itself.

17. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at fly@cappadociaballoonflights.com so we can try to resolve it quickly.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence: if you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Türkiye, the protective rules that would apply in the absence of this clause continue to apply to you.

  • Consumers resident in Türkiye may bring disputes before the Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the Consumer Court (Tüketici Mahkemesi), according to the applicable monetary thresholds.
  • Consumers in the EU or the UK may also refer a dispute to a consumer body or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity in their own country, and keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence. (The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and can no longer be used.)
  • Bookings are concluded as distance contracts and, where several services are bundled, may fall under the package-travel rules of your country of residence; the related consumer protections apply.

18. General terms

  • If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms (for example in a corporate reorganisation); your rights are not reduced as a result.
  • These Terms, together with your booking confirmation and the applicable cancellation policy, form the agreement between us for your booking.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force for your booking is the one published here at the time you book. We will show the effective date at the top of this document, and material changes will be reflected here.
